When was the last time you clicked on a banner ad? Or bought something because you saw it on a billboard? Exactly. We think that’s because companies spend a lot of time talking at people, and not enough time talking with them.

That’s where we come in.

Think of us as a social media advertising agency. It’s our job to bring fun, engaging content to our community, created around a different sponsor each day. There are five shirt wearers, and every day we each film a video, host a live streaming web show, Tweet, Facebook, post photos and write content all centered around a sponsor. Every day on IWearYourShirt.com (IWYS) we share a story about a company, person, brand, etc to our highly-engaged audience, and then the really cool part happens: they talk about it. And not only that, but they like, comment, chat, view, and share that content. Not only do people come to our site every day to consume an “ad” but they also share it!

The way that people discover companies is changing. They buy things because they hear their friends talking about them or see them posted by their friend online. So if you want to get people talking, and have a lot of fun with your company while you’re doing it, read on.

WE MAKE CONTENT

They say “content is king” and we’ve built a business around that premise. The cost to have one 3-minute YouTube video made can be more than $1,000 and then who do you show that video to? Making a YouTube video is one small part of a day on IWYS, but it’s also a very important one.

Each day we take fun photos in our shirts, make a YouTube video and host a live Ustream web show. We also Tweet and Facebook about our sponsors, but try to keep the sales-pitching to a minimum and the conversation to a maximum. If you’re just looking for eyeballs or impressions, we’re not the advertising you’re looking for.

We also take a lot of pride in our Search Engine Optimization (SEO). We ask all our sponsors for specific keywords and tags to help bring the content we create to the front page of Google. Content is king, but contextual content is even better!

Each day on our calendar has 5 available spots for purchase, one for each our team member. Jason, who has been wearing shirts for companies for 3 years now, has his days priced at $2 times the face value of the day. (ie. January 16th is sold at $32). The other shirt wearer spots are sold at the face value of the day. (ie. January 16th is $16, March 3 is $63, December 31st is $366).

Every spot on our calendar includes a daily photo, YouTube video, Ustream live video show, IWYS homepage presence and exposure on Twitter and Facebook.
